Clay Tennis
We have clay tennis all year round in our heated tent!
The gravel surface is synonymous with the French Open tournament (Roland Garros) in Paris, which was the first Grand Slam tournament played on clay.
Clay is slower than hard court, which means the ball bounces lower and the game becomes more tactical. The court has a softer surface, which reduces the risk of injury compared to harder surfaces, and shots on clay courts often generate more spin on the ball. Many players have specialized in clay tennis because of its unique challenges.
If you haven't tried playing tennis on clay, we definitely think you should do it for a new tennis experience!
You need to play in the right shoes so as not to damage the surface (clay tennis shoes or all court tennis shoes) and you must also prepare the track and lines before your booking time is up. You can rent shoes at the reception if you don't have your own.
